How to play Coil?

Coil is a hypnotic mouse game about lassoing orbs. Glowing balls drift across the screen, and you draw a trailing loop with the cursor; close the loop around a cluster of good orbs and release to capture them all at once. The catch is the red orbs — sweep one into your loop and the whole catch is spoiled. It is a one-button, all-mouse exercise in patience and timing, asking you to wait for the perfect moment to spring your trap.

• Draw a loop — Hold and move the mouse to trail a coil
• Capture — Release to close the loop around orbs
• Fullscreen — Press F or click the expand icon

Wait for orbs to drift into a tight cluster before you commit. A patient single loop beats a dozen rushed ones.

Keep your trailing line clear of red orbs even while maneuvering — they ruin a catch the instant they cross your coil, not just at release.

Make wide, slow loops rather than tight frantic ones; the bigger the arc, the more good orbs you can scoop in one clean motion.
